This is the third time that my husband and I have celebrated our anniversary with a long weekend in Chicago.  (Happy 9th anniversary to us!) Our anniversary coincides with an annual business trip for him, so I just fly up and meet him for a little getaway.  We sleep in, dine out, and get a break from the Texas summer heat.  This year, we lounged at the Oak Street Beach and checked out the Museum of Contemporary Art, which had me thinking that I really should visit art museums more.  (Yes, seriously.)  And my incredible photographer friend Becky happened to be in Chicago at the same time, so we met up one night for a drink.  Or six.  (We were having much more fun than our “serious face” pose let on.)

And although I carried my real camera around almost everywhere, I ended up using my iPhone for most pictures.
Right near da beach. :)

Such a cool project. The photographer sent letters to people on first floor apartments and said they would take a photo at a certain time. If they agreed, turn on all lights and look out window at certain time.Goodbye, #chicago#chicago #buildingSky reflection on the building. #chicago#chicagoSunset flight. #southwestairlinesSun tucking away for the evening. #sunset #southwestairlinesRiver down below.
