When this mom called me, just a few weeks before having her second baby boy, she mentioned that she really, really more-than-anything wanted to get some good photos of the new baby with his big brother, a two-year-old.\u00a0 Well, of course!\u00a0 I\u2019m a mom of two, and photos of my boys together are the most heartwarming.\u00a0 They\u2019re also the most difficult to capture \u2013 especially with toddlers.<\/p>\n

So I\u2019ll be honest\u2026. the pressure of getting a good shot with a newborn and a two-year-old made me pretty nervous.\u00a0 I so enjoy the beauty of capturing newborn photos, but I will be the first to admit they are a little<\/del> lot more uncertain (nerve-wracking) than others.\u00a0 And getting a toddler to cooperate (and not drop the baby) for some good sibling shots with a sleeping (or at least still & happy) newborn in just the right light?\u00a0 Very tricky indeed.<\/p>\n

But whether I like it or not (and for the record, I don\u2019t), I perform well under pressure.\u00a0 (And toddlers perform well with bribes!)\u00a0 So we ended up with a few that are easily my favorite sibling photos of all time.\u00a0 Seriously.\u00a0 The one of the boys in the window is now a large, gallery-wrapped canvas in their playroom.\u00a0 I just saw it yesterday when I delivered their newborn photo album, and it is perfect<\/em>.<\/p>\n
